This wonderful site offers an array of articles and surveys that link brain structure and brain chemistry to political behavior. Not only are its studies scientifically important, but fascinating to the lay reader. For example; liberal women preferred the smell of coffee while conservative women preferred the smell of newborn baby—offering insight into why conservatives have 41% more children. 







Professor John Hibbing, along with Prof Alford discovered that conservatism/liberalism is highly heritable. He also wrote my foreword. This video from the National Science Foundation shows some of his more recent work.

Jonathan Haidt - University of Virginia
Jonathan Haidt is a leading researcher in the area of positive psychology and the psychology of morals. The papers in his Research and Publications page are an enlightening and enjoyable read. His presentation on conservative and liberal morals from Enlightenment 2.0 also explains his work well.
