The Origin of Political Species

A NEW BOOK BY Robert Haston

Text Box: HOW TO READ E-BOOKS COMFORTABLY:
I believe e-books haven’t taken off because publishers were happy to support the older generation’s concept that a book must be a stack of paper or something that looks just like one. I believed this story myself until one day I downloaded Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Lessig’ s book Free Culture and read it on my computer. It was so easy and comfortable.

Notes on setting up and Viewing PDF files

Text Box: I just sit sideways to the desk, put my feet up, and reposition the monitor as necessary. You can even pull up a recliner if you want. Instead of turning pages, you simply scroll down with your mouse wheel. You have both hands free most of the time.
Reading (and even writing) books on tiny cell phone screens is becoming popular. Between the diminishing attachment to paper, new technology, and publishers coming on board, it seems that the transition away from paper is finally happening.

Here is how the monitor looks for my favorite option: Full Screen Mode (Ctrl L).  I can read the text on a 17” monitor from over 10 feet away! This allows you to lose those reading glasses.

If you like to view two pages per screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader ( View, Page Display, Two-Up ) Reader may reverse the pages, placing the even pages on the right.  To remedy this, select (or de-select) Show cover page during two-up.

HAPPY READING!
